Jake Nazarian

Jake Nazarian has over 15 years of experience as a consultant in the digital video industry.  His positions have included management and production expertise. Designing and implementing digital video workflow from conception through shooting and editing to compression for streaming video to the web. His knowledge is constantly used as a standard in the DV industry. From CEO’s to students and everyone in between Jake has the ability to give answers to questions even the layman can understand.

Jake has travelled extensive thought the world as his expertise is in demand in many sectors. Yoga Shoots in Australia and Snowboarding Competitions in the NorthEast to Travel Shoots in Europe. If you need high quality video services and streaming solutions Jacob has a solution for you.

Mr. Nazarian’s experience in video and technology started in the 80’s as he explored audio and video machines in their analog inceptions. As technology and the broadcast industry evolved thru the 90’s and towards the digital domain, Mr. Nazarian kept himself on the forefront of changes even sometimes pushing the limits of the technologies available in internet streaming. As the CTO, of Bostonbandwidth.com a cornerstone of streaming in the 90’s he continued to explore video and its implementation on the web.

Jake pushed the limits of how much video you could push thru a modem, impressing even the team at apple, with this he put himself on the map as a video compression specialist. Combining his degree in broadcast and telecommunications, with real word experience, along with his ability to manipulate video in the digital domain became apparent as he was asked to be the Technical Director for JumpCut Orchestra, a cutting edge musical experience that combines sounds and images to create a total audio/visual experience.

Moving forward Mr. Nazarian’s expertise in digital video was viewed by many as “pushing the industry standard” as he was asked to consult at over 10 different major market video distributors including but not limited to, Nation Video Reporters, Chesterton Training Division, New Hampshire ToDo Magazine, Peabody Access TV, Interlock Media, to name a few. Sharing his experience with streaming media compression types, and media distribution options, along with optimizing digital video workflow, his true specialty. Jake became the go-to-guy in many companies. Whether in the Post-Production room, the Edit Suite or in the field, Mr. Nazarian expertise proved him head and shoulder above the rest. His techniques, in some cases became the industry standard. Using Flash video wrappers with sweetly tuned MP4 compression schemes, his video quickly became the standard others were judged against.

Mr. Nazarian now enjoys giving back to the education community, as an adjunct professor, he also enjoyed coaching soccer, camping year round, and dirt biking “anywhere they let us”. He resides in Hudson, NH with his son.
